A03 invitations

Shopping in London
Nov. 23rd, 2018 10:03 pmHave been shopping today with my brother. We have had our traditional excursion to Twinings to try all the teas.
Next was Somerset House where we avoided the pitfalls of the skating rink and went to the Fortnum & Mason Christmas Arcade (Bloody Mary tea, yum!) and general window shopping of the shiny.
Whisky and pizza to revive ourselves and then a visit to the Christmas shop at Liberty of London to buy the obligatory Christmas decoration for the tree.
Bit of silliness before holiday season starts in full.

Conflicted
May. 11th, 2018 10:00 pmWhy is it that I can love Winter Soldier and still detest Ultron and Civil War?
Even forgiving the stupidity of the file release from Winter Soldier, I still cannot forgive the actions of anyone in Team Cap in those movies.
Thoroughly enjoying rewatching Winter Soldier tonight for the umpteenth time, cannot even re-watch the others.
Still, planning a third viewing of Infinity War this weekend. I loved this one. Hence why I am conflicted.

Feb. 25th, 2018 10:56 amVisited Glengoyne distillery yesterday for a tour and then for a tasting of selected whiskies paired with chocolate. Yum!

Black Panther
Feb. 18th, 2018 03:14 pmI watched Black Panther yesterday in Glasgow.
The world building is glorious and the film is visually stunning. The ladies uniformly kicked behind and I loved every second of it.
I liked T'Challa but I didn't love him. The villian's back story made for a more interesting story.
Still, I hope for more movies like this in future and not just from Marvel.

The Last Jedi
Dec. 20th, 2017 10:21 pmI went to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi with mum tonight. We enjoyed it thoroughly.
There are flaws but there is much more to love in it. The new generation inhabit their characters well but Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher reign supreme in this film.

Dec. 1st, 2017 11:28 pmFinally watched Spider-Man Homecoming and was pleasantly surprised.
It was fun. My biggest shock was that they finally have shown me an M.J that I actually like.
Tom Holland has grown on me as a suitably young and enthusiastic Spider-Man.

A History of Magic
Nov. 25th, 2017 10:10 pmToday was spent in London town. Started at The British Library for the 'Harry Potter: A History of Magic' exhibition. Fun and interesting.
The rest of the day includes a bit of shopping, a visit to the pub and a visit to The British Museum.
All in all, a good day.

Chilling out
Sep. 25th, 2017 12:12 pmIt has been a local bank holiday here. I've had a few days of chilling out, trying out the food in a pub I have previously walked by (yum!) and hanging out with family and friends.
Not the most exciting time ever but sometimes that is a good thing.

Saw Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets yesterday. It was visually stunning and more enjoyable than I might have expected based on some of the reviews that I have read about it.
I like it enough that I know I will watch it at least a couple more times when it comes to DVD.
