I still haven't decided if I am going to watch Squid Game.

I have watched the first 3 episodes of Word of Honour. It is pretty to look at but I am not sure yet if I like it. We will see.

Watch Animal World instead! It's only a movie (on Netflix, too), and it's based on the same manga series (Kaiji). This way, you'll get a taste and can decide if you want to commit to something longer (and more violent).

No problem! Squid Game is so popular, most people don't know of the other stuff. I only happened to stumble upon it because my favourite actor plays the lead.

I hope you enjoy Word of Honor! FWIW, I liked it from the start but didn't fall in love until episode 14 or thereabouts.
