Why is it when you try to consolidate your books to give some away and clear some space the amount given away is less than you intended?

I haven't read some of them in over a decade, why dither about giving them away?

One box ready to go to a local charity shop. On the plus side, my Star Trek books are now organized in one specific bookcase.

Movies tomorrow, yay!

because giving away stuff... /is a horder herself

I wanted to give some books to my colleague for her son, and ended up keeping almost all of them because 'Ooooh, childhood favourite, I should read that again!'

... yeah. Of course. I will totally do that when I haven't touched a book and finished it since reading "Things to Make and Do in the Fourth Dimension", which also took me a year.

If everything goes to plan Guardians (again) and Jessica Chastain's new one, Miss Sloane.

Ooh, haven't read that book. Worth adding to my semi-terrifying to-read list?

Next up is The Bad Ass Librarians of Timbuktu.

Well, I don't know if it's up your alley (since I don't yet know what you're reading!), but it's a pop-science Math Book, that seemed to me (a mere fourth semester math undergrad ^^) quite grounded in mathematical reality. I loved it. A lot. It wasn't just math, though, but also the people behind it and stuff being discovered and forgotten again and then discovered again, or being discovered by two unrelated people at the same time, and fun facts, and I also truly love the writing style of the author *gushes*

Ah, I wanted to see Guardians, too, but getting the OV isn't all that easy :/ And the big cinema showing coincides with my student association meeting, which I shouldn't miss (again).

Also, I do not know why I did not grant you access *could swear she hit that button* This is now rectified!

Sounds like a book for my brother, he is the one with the mathematics degree.

Oh, I have lent it to a non-mathematically-inclined friend, too! I haven't gotten feedback yet, but I think it's also suited to those that only want to poke their toes into the subject (I'd push it on my mom so maybe she could understand why I love maths so much, but her English isn't good enough :/)
